Professor Long Jiao is a Professor of Surgery at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine and a consultant surgeon in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He specializes in robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques, particularly in pancreatic and liver cancers. He chairs pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery programs and pioneered robotic hepatobiliary surgery in the UK, including the first robotic Whipple's operation for pancreatic cancer.

His research focuses on surgical innovation, early pancreatic cancer detection, and genomic/proteomic approaches to cancer biology.
