Dr. Loïc Guyon is an Associate Professor in French Studies and Head of Department at Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick. His research focuses on crime and justice in 18th-19th century France, alongside 19th-century French travel literature and romanticism.

His work explores intersections of history, literature, and culture, with notable contributions to studies of the guillotine's symbolism, the Earl of Lucan mystery, and theatrical travel narratives. Supervision includes PhD projects on feminist critiques of romanticism, death penalty narratives, and Parisian cultural history.
