Liza Jabbour is a Senior Lecturer in Business Economics at the Department of Management within the Birmingham Business School at the University of Birmingham. She joined in 2010 and previously held positions at Manchester Business School (lecturer) and the University of Nottingham (research fellow). She is also an external research fellow at the GEP centre and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

- BSc in Economics from Lebanese University
Her research focuses on applied international economics, particularly firms' internationalisation strategies, productivity dynamics, and the effects of trade policies. Key themes include global trade impacts, anti-dumping measures, and the interplay between business services and outward investment.
Teaching roles include 'Economics for Business', 'Advanced Business Economics', and 'Industrial and International Economics'. Administrative roles include Year Abroad Programme Director and Exchange Co-ordinator.
Her publications explore topics such as Chinese import effects on EU firms, ownership impacts on debt reduction, and R&D outsourcing trends. She has collaborated with institutions globally, contributing to policy-relevant economic analyses.
