معرفی
Dr. Liz Bagshaw is an Associate Professor in Polar Environmental Change at the University of Bristol's School of Geographical Sciences. Her research focuses on glaciology, microbial ecosystems in cryoconite holes, and sensor technologies for monitoring polar environments. She holds an M.Sc. from the University of Bristol and a PhD.
Her work spans subglacial hydrology, biogeochemical cycles in ice sheets, and the development of wireless sensors for harsh environments. Recent studies include solar power systems for polar instrumentation and radar investigations of glacier dynamics in Greenland.
Research interests include understanding microbial sourcing in subglacial runoff, trace element behavior in meltwaters, and the impact of ice sheets on global carbon cycles. She collaborates on projects like the Exobiology Extant Life Surveyor (EELS) field tests at Athabasca Glacier.
Publications highlight advancements in cryoconite microbiology, glacial hydrology, and sensor deployment techniques. No awards are listed, but her work contributes significantly to environmental and planetary science.
