Liu Jia

Liu Jia is a full-time Senior Lecturer in Chamber Music & Collaborative Piano at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore. She has been actively involved in collaborative piano and chamber music since 2003, working with renowned artists and orchestras across Asia and Singapore.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree from Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing (China)
• Master’s Degree (admitted via honor exemption) from Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing

Research & Performance Focus: Specializes in collaborative piano accompaniment across diverse instruments (violin, cello, flute, etc.), chamber music ensemble performance, and cross-cultural musical collaborations. Her work emphasizes bridging classical repertoire with contemporary performance practices, particularly in ensemble dynamics and interdisciplinary projects.
