Dr. Lisa de Kleyn is a Research Fellow in Sociology at La Trobe University's Climate Change Adaptation Lab since May 2023. Her work focuses on environmental governance, climate adaptation, and housing energy efficiency, emphasizing justice, equity, and sustainability. She holds a PhD from RMIT University (2021), with prior academic positions including multiple Research Fellow roles at RMIT between 2020 and 2023.
Key research projects include analyzing climate change impacts on natural resource management, adaptation governance funded by DAAD, and housing retrofitting for low-carbon transitions. She collaborates with government and non-government organizations to ensure applied, equitable outcomes. Her work spans urban greening, environmental discourses, and interdisciplinary approaches to socio-technical systems.
Recent publications (2020–2025) address environmental justice barriers, urban greening governance, and climate vulnerability in marginalized groups.
