Lisa Wolverton is a Professor of History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, based in Pauli Murray 554. Her research focuses on medieval Central Europe, particularly the Czech Lands and Slav-German relations. She holds a Ph.D. in Medieval History from the University of Notre Dame's Medieval Institute (1997), an M.M.S. in Medieval Studies (1991), and a B.S.F.S. in Russian and East European Studies from Georgetown University (1986).
Her work explores Frankish imperialism, medieval border dynamics, and the intersection of power and society. Notable contributions include analyses of Lampert of Hersfeld’s Annals and the German civil war of the 11th century.
