Lisa Streff is a Lecturer and Horse Unit Manager at the University of Connecticut (UConn), where she teaches courses focused on equine management, reproduction, and training. She earned a BS in Animal Science with a concentration in Equine Science from Delaware Valley College and a Master's Degree in Animal Science from Colorado State University. During her graduate studies, she researched exogenous plant miRNA absorption in equine serum and tissue and collaborated on equine reproduction projects.
At UConn, Lisa oversees the Equine Units and instructs courses such as ANSC 3455 (Developing the Driving Horse), ANSC 3457 (Advanced Broodmare and Foal Management), ANSC 3551 (Equine Training I – Foundations), ANSC 3554 (Equine Sports Rehabilitation Practicum), and SAAS 255 (Foundations of Training).
Her research and professional activities center on equine biology, molecular interactions in feedstuffs, and practical training methodologies. She previously managed equine units at Virginia Tech and gained international experience in Austria and Germany, earning a Bronze Reitahzeichen Certification at the Brandenburg State Stud in Neustadt Dosse.
