Lisa Soros serves as a Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at Barnard College, holding the Roman Family Teaching and Research Fellowship position. She actively contributes to the academic community through her service on the Board of Directors for the International Society for Artificial Life since 2017.
Her research focuses on generative systems in virtual environments, with particular emphasis on evolutionary robotics, procedural content generation for video games, and applications of evolutionary algorithms to open-ended search problems. This work bridges computer science with artificial life methodologies to explore synthetic biological systems.
