Lisa Schocket is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs at the University of Maryland Department of Ophthalmology. She serves as Chief of the Vitreoretinal Service and Medical Director of University of Maryland Eye Associates, specializing in surgical and medical management of retinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, and cataract complications.

Dr. Schocket's research focuses on retinal hemodynamics, macular edema, and surgical outcomes. Her work spans clinical trials (e.g., SCORE Study), device safety evaluations, and exploration of retinal pathologies. She has contributed to advancements in treatments for retinal vein occlusions and AMD.
Her publications in Ophthalmology, Retina, and other journals analyze choroidal hemodynamics, pharmacological interventions, and rare genetic conditions. Key collaborations include the SCORE Study Research Group and Ozurdex GENEVA Study Group.
