Lisa Mazzie is a Professor of Legal Writing at Marquette University Law School, where she has been a faculty member since 2004. She teaches courses in legal analysis, writing, research, appellate advocacy, and gender and the law. In Spring 2023, she served as a visiting professor at the University of California-Irvine School of Law. She is a certified Title IX investigator and co-director of Marquette's Moot Court Program, while also advising multiple student moot court teams and organizations such as the Association of Women Lawyers and the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Society.

Lisa Mazzie is actively involved in advising student organizations and moot court teams, contributing significantly to experiential learning. She has delivered numerous continuing legal education (CLE) programs for judges, attorneys, and law students across the country. Her pro bono work includes nearly 200 hours with the Domestic Violence Injunction Project and the Milwaukee Justice Center Forms Clinic. She has not received public grant funding, but her work is supported through institutional and professional platforms.
She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, Association of American Law Schools, Association of Legal Writing Directors, and the American Constitution Society. She frequently collaborates with colleagues on workshops and curriculum development, particularly in legal writing and ethics instruction.
