Lisa Locascio Nighthawk is a faculty member at Antioch University, where she serves as Program Chair for the MFA in Creative Writing program. She has held teaching positions at UCLA, Wesleyan University, University of Southern California, Colorado College, and New York University prior to her current role.

Her research interests focus on interdisciplinary creative writing pedagogy, experimental narrative forms, and literary collaborations. Her 2018 novel Open Me explores themes of personal transformation through innovative prose, while the 2017 anthology Golden State showcases California's evolving literary landscape.
