Lisa Lines

Lisa Lines is Assistant Professor in Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at UMass Medical School. Her AHRQ-funded research analyzes healthcare quality measurement, focusing on patient experiences among vulnerable populations using linked SEER-CAHPS and Medicare data.

Methodological work develops indices measuring social determinants of health and illness burden. Recent studies examine care experiences of cancer survivors, immigrant health paradoxes, and community-level risk prediction for reproductive health services. Contributed to Home Health CAHPS risk adjustment models and CMS quality reporting programs.

Policy-relevant findings include analyses of emergency department utilization post-health reform and disparities in shared care models for older adults with cancer. Authored commentaries on race/ethnicity data imputation methods and performance measure gaming in health systems.
