Dr. Lisa J Knecht-Sabres is a Professor of Occupational Therapy at Midwestern University's College of Health Sciences-Downers Grove. With over 30 years of combined clinical and academic experience, she specializes in adult and geriatric occupational therapy, clinical education, and interprofessional collaboration. She holds a D.H.S. from the University of Indianapolis and earlier degrees from the University of Illinois.
Her research focuses on enhancing clinical readiness for occupational therapy students, interprofessional education, and improving occupational performance for older adults. Key areas include falls prevention, caregiver education for stroke survivors, and quality of life interventions in assisted living facilities.
