Kent Edward Irwin

Kent Edward Irwin is a Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Midwestern University's College of Health Sciences-Downers Grove. He holds a Doctor of Health Science (D.H.S.) from Midwestern University and advanced Master of Science in Physical Therapy (M.S.) and entry-level PT degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His academic roles include serving as Professor, with prior positions as Associate Professor (2016–2022), and various clinical education leadership roles including Co-Director of Clinical Education (2010–2014).

Dr. Irwin's research focuses on geriatric physical therapy, including safe student performance in clinical education, professionalism in healthcare, and screening tools for aging populations.
