Dr. Lisa Hope Milman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communicative Disorders & Deaf Education at Utah State University. She holds a PhD in Speech & Hearing Sciences (Cognitive Science) from the University of Arizona and completed postdoctoral training in Neurolinguistics at Northwestern University. Her research focuses on translational neuroscience applied to aphasia rehabilitation, including mathematical modeling of language measures and innovative therapy approaches.

Awards include the 2016 Undergraduate Research Mentor Award and 2015 Teacher of the Year from her department. She teaches advanced courses on neurology, aphasia, and dysphagia, mentoring over a dozen graduate students in speech-language pathology and neurolinguistics.
