Lisa Hellman is a Professor at Lund University specializing in global history with a focus on East and Central Asia. She leads the international research environment "Moved Apart" and the "Coerced Circulation of Knowledge" group at University of Bonn, while also serving as a Pro Futura XV fellow at the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study.

Recent publications analyze microhistorical perspectives on Central Asian enslavement, cross-border trade, and gendered dimensions of globalization. Her work combines multilingual sources and interdisciplinary approaches.
