Lisa Haskel is a multi-disciplinary academic at Roehampton University's School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, affiliated with the Centre for Research in Arts and Creative Exchange. She holds an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) from Bournemouth University, an MSc in Computing Science from Birkbeck, and a BA in Media Studies. Her work bridges arts, computer science, and social innovation. She teaches software development, computing and society, and supervises projects focusing on sustainability and digital ethics.
Research interests include participatory design practices addressing social challenges, open source communities, and sustainability transitions. Notable projects include the 10-year Hublink case management system for voluntary sector organizations, presented at international conferences like PDC 2014 and 2016. She leads/co-leads projects such as the FAWB App Development and Diasporic Histories Website.
