Lisa Harms is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Münster. Previously, she held a post-doctoral position at the Alexander von Humboldt Chair of Comparative Constitutionalism at the University of Göttingen until July 2020. She completed her Ph.D. in Sociology and Political Science at the University of Göttingen and the Institut d’Études Politiques (IEP) Paris in 2019, earning the Christoph-Friedrich-Dahlmann Prize. Her research focuses on judicial politics, religious diversity governance, and the European Court of Human Rights.

Research Interests:
Harms investigates how judicial institutions shape religious recognition and cultural diversity governance. Her work examines the European Court of Human Rights’ role in formulating the right to freedom of religion, blending comparative constitutionalism with sociological and legal frameworks. She co-leads the project 'Judicial Politics and the Governance of Religious Diversity' with Matthias Koenig.
