Dr. Lisa Giacumo is an Associate Professor in Learning Design and Technology at George Mason University's College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). She holds a PhD from Arizona State University. Her research focuses on inclusive diversity, cross-cultural workplace learning, learning analytics, and instructional design for marginalized communities. She has over 25 years of international experience as an instructional designer and trainer across sectors. Notable roles include a 2022 fellowship with the US Office of Naval Research. Dr. Giacumo teaches courses like Web Accessibility and Design, and Analyzing the User Experience. Her work emphasizes equity, leveraging technology to enhance organizational justice and support underrepresented groups in education and employment.
