Lisa Garsman, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor and Director of the BSN Program at Saint Peter's University's College of Nursing. A Family Nurse Practitioner, she provides clinical care for pediatric and adult patients in acute and primary care settings.
- Education: Ph.D. and MS from Rutgers University, BSN from Fairleigh Dickinson University, B.Sc from University of Nebraska, Lincoln
Her research investigates health disparities in vulnerable populations, focusing on the interplay between acculturative stress, obesity, and allostatic load in immigrant communities. She has secured significant research grants including the Jonas Nurse Leaders Scholar Award and Sigma Theta Tau International Research Grant.
Dr. Garsman teaches NU-308L Health Assessment Lab and NU-440 Leadership and Management in Nursing. She also serves as a member of the Student Nurses Association.
