معرفی
Lisa Dinkler is an Assistant Professor in psychiatric epidemiology at the Centre for Eating Disorders Innovation (CEDI) at Karolinska Institutet, affiliated with the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Her research primarily focuses on eating disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions, with special emphasis on Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).
Dr. Dinkler's educational background includes:
- PhD in Medical Science (2020), Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Sweden
- MSc in Psychology (2014), Goethe-University Frankfurt, Germany
- BSc in Psychology (2012), Friedrich Schiller-University Jena, Germany
Dr. Dinkler's research centers on understanding the genetic and environmental causes of ARFID, its comorbidities with conditions like autism, ADHD, and anxiety, and its longitudinal course. She employs epidemiological methods, twin designs, and genome-wide association studies to investigate these questions. Her work has significantly contributed to establishing ARFID as a condition with strong genetic underpinnings and specific comorbidity patterns with neurodevelopmental disorders. She has published extensively on ARFID's epidemiology and etiology, including influential studies on its heritability.
Analysis of Dr. Dinkler's recent publications reveals a consistent focus on ARFID epidemiology, genetic factors, and comorbidities. Her research increasingly incorporates large-scale genetic studies and registry-linked cohort approaches through projects like EDGI2 and ARIES. The interdisciplinary nature of her work bridges psychiatry, genetics, and epidemiology, with growing recognition of ARFID as a significant eating disorder phenotype requiring specialized investigation.
Dr. Dinkler has received recognition for her contributions to the field:
- Presenter in Top Newcomers Session, XXIXth EDRS Meeting, 2023
- Top-scoring Paper Abstract, AED ICED Meeting, 2022
- Presenter in Top Abstracts Session, XXVth EDRS Meeting, 2019
- IRIS stipend for progressive women, 2018
- Best poster award, ACE Centre 2nd International Conference, 2017
Her research is supported by multiple prestigious grants from the Swedish Research Council, National Institute of Mental Health, Svenska Sällskapet för Medicinsk Forskning (SSMF), Söderström-Königska Foundation, Hjärnfonden, Fonden för Psykisk Hälsa, Erik and Edith Fernström Foundation, and Fredrik och Ingrid Thurings Stiftelse. Current major projects include the Eating Disorders Genetics Initiative 2 (EDGI2) and ARFID InitiativE Sweden (ARIES), demonstrating her leadership in large-scale collaborative research.
Dr. Dinkler is actively involved with the Centre for Eating Disorders Innovation (CEDI) at Karolinska Institutet, where she leads research on ARFID within a multidisciplinary team of epidemiologists, geneticists, and clinicians. Her work bridges basic science with clinical applications, and she actively engages in public outreach through webinars, podcasts, and articles to disseminate findings about ARFID to both professional and patient communities.
