Liraz Arie

Liraz Arie, PhD, PT, serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Cognitive-Motor Behavior Lab of the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. Her work centers on the intersection of motor control and cognitive processes, developing interventions for fall risk assessment and rehabilitation in aging adults and neurological populations.

She earned her PhD in Physical Therapy from New York University in 2024, investigating dual-task costs in walking for individuals with bilateral hearing loss under Dr. Anat Lubetzky. Her foundational research includes an MSc in Physical Therapy from Tel Aviv University (2016), where she studied balance, gait, and cognitive deterioration across Parkinson's disease subtypes with Prof. Jeffrey M. Hausdorff.
