معرفی
Linus Andersson is an Associate Senior Lecturer and Researcher in Structural Mechanics at the Department of Structural Mechanics, Lund University (LTH). His research focuses on computational methods for structural dynamics and acoustics, aiming to optimize material use in structural design for cost and environmental efficiency. Key areas include nonlinear structural modeling, experimental validation, and applications in lightweight and blast-resistant structures. He contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through sustainable engineering practices.
Education: PhD in Structural Engineering.
Research Interests
Dr. Andersson’s work emphasizes nonlinear dynamics, reduced order modeling, and substructuring techniques. He explores efficient computational methods for analyzing complex structural systems, particularly under dynamic loads like blast and impact. His research bridges theoretical models with practical validation, addressing challenges in civil and mechanical engineering sectors.
Collaborations & Projects
He led the Reduced Order Modeling and Substructuring project (2018–2024), focusing on nonlinear structural dynamics applications. Collaborations span academia and industry, with recent studies on glass panel impact dynamics and blast-resistant design. His work has been published in journals like Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing and Engineering Structures.
Grants & Advising
His doctoral research was supported by a Lund University grant. While no current advisees are listed, he has supervised his own licentiate and doctoral projects.
Labs & Teams
