Linnhe Robertson serves as the Artistic and Research Consultant for Opera & Voice at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, following her tenure as Head of Vocal Studies until 2013. Her globally recognized career encompasses vocal coaching, repetiteur work, and harpsichord performance with major institutions including the Australian Opera, English National Opera, Royal Opera House (where she coaches Jette Parker Young Artists), and ensembles like the English Baroque Soloists under John Eliot Gardiner.
Her educational background features a Masters in Arts Management from City University, London, and specialized study in Lied Accompaniment in Germany, complemented by practical experience at the Bayreuth International Wagner Festival.
Robertson's research focuses on opera performance practices, vocal pedagogy innovation, and historical training methodologies for singers. She pioneered interdisciplinary approaches blending Baroque repertoire expertise with contemporary artistic development, particularly in Wagnerian works and early music vocal techniques.
Her distinguished contributions were honored with a Churchill Fellowship in 1993 for international research on singer training systems across major opera institutions.
Throughout her career, Robertson has held leadership roles including Director of the Young Artists' Programme at Opera Australia and Head of Vocal Studies at the Guildhall. She remains actively engaged in mentoring emerging talent through masterclasses and coaching across European conservatoires and opera houses.
