Her work focuses on how Christianity is mobilized in populist discourses about Swedish identity, as seen in her postdoc project "Swedish, Christian and Equal!" (2022–2024). She also investigates the impact of digitalization and social media on public debates about religion and politics, emphasizing shifting left/right political dynamics and banal religious expressions in hybrid media environments.
Recent publications analyze the politicization of religious texts (e.g., Qur'an burnings), gender equality narratives in nationalist rhetoric, and Nordic interdisciplinary studies on populism and religion. She actively collaborates on projects and organizes workshops, such as the 2025 event on freedom of religion in public debates about Qur'an burnings.
