Dr. Linje Manyozo is a Senior Lecturer in Communication for Development at RMIT University's School of Media and Communication. He holds a distinguished academic career, including former roles as Lecturer and Director of the MSc Program in Media, Communication and Development at the London School of Economics (2008-2012), and Head of Communications at the University of Fort Hare. His research focuses on integrating subaltern voices into development policy, with expertise in communication for social change, media studies, and participatory approaches. Linje has authored three books, including *Communicating Development With Communities* (2017) and *Media, Communication and Development* (2013). His work bridges academia and practice, reflected in his 4-year tenure as a UNICEF Communication Specialist and founder of a rights-based village development program.
Teaching philosophy combines critical pedagogy, participatory methods, and ethical inclusivity, challenging students to rethink orthodox scholarly boundaries. His supervision includes projects on civil celebrancy, feminist digital activism, and Ghanaian political representation. Linje’s praxis is informed by his upbringing under poverty in African plantations, driving his commitment to equitable development policies and authentic representation.
