Linglin Xie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition at Texas A&M University's College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. Her research focuses on maternal nutrition, environmental exposures, and their effects on offspring health, including metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), liver cancer mechanisms, and heart development gene networks. She holds an MD from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (2000), an M.S. in Human Nutrition from Kansas State University (2004), and a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Kansas State University (2008), followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago (2011).
Her work integrates developmental biology, epigenetics, and metabolic pathways to address intergenerational health issues. Recent studies highlight maternal diet interventions, placental biology, and herbal therapies for inflammatory conditions. Key contributions include identifying Osr1's role in liver inflammation and Gata4's impact on NAFLD progression.
