Lindsay Kennedy is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Agricultural Education & Communications at Texas Tech University (TTU), part of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR). She holds a Ph.D. from TTU and brings over 10 years of professional experience in agricultural commodity communications and media roles. Her teaching focuses on magazine production and field-based digital photography, and she contributed to the innovative ACOM block course structure.
- Education: B.S. in Agricultural Education/Communication (University of Arkansas, 2005), M.S. in Agricultural Education (TTU, 2006), Ph.D. in Agricultural Communications & Education (TTU, 2018)
Her research emphasizes experiential learning, agricultural communications strategies, and leadership development. She pioneered CASNR’s Matador Institute of Leadership Engagement (MILE), a program cultivating leadership skills among undergraduates through exposure to agricultural policy and industry challenges.
Before academia, Dr. Kennedy served as External Affairs Director and magazine editor for the National Sorghum Producers, Communications Director for Texas Corn/Peanut Producers Boards, and founding editor of Ozarks Farm & Neighbor. Her publications span consumer perception studies, agricultural education pedagogy, and industry professional development.
