Prof. Lindsay Jaacks is a Personal Chair of Global Health and Nutrition at the University of Edinburgh’s Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Systems. Her work bridges agriculture, nutrition, and health, with a focus on pesticide exposure, sustainable food systems, and dietary transitions in low- and middle-income countries.
- Education: Postdoc (Emory University), PhD (University of North Carolina Chapel Hill), Dual BS (Cornell University)
- Key Projects: BLOOM (health impacts of organic farming in India), Poshan Atlas (agriculture-nutrition linkages), and red meat reduction for climate/health co-benefits
She leads interdisciplinary collaborations with institutions such as the Public Health Foundation of India, Harvard University, and the University of North Carolina. Her research is funded by UKRI, Wellcome Trust, and ESRC.
