Prof. Lindsay Hetherington is Deputy Head of the School of Education and Associate Professor of Science Education at the University of Exeter. Her expertise spans science education, teacher education, and transdisciplinary approaches to STEM/STEAM, climate change, and sustainability. She co-leads the Centre for Transdisciplinary Educational Futures and directs the Education for Environmental Justice research group. Her work integrates sociomaterial and dialogic theories with mixed-methods research.
Prof. Hetherington’s research focuses on curriculum innovation, pedagogical practices, and education policy, particularly in the context of environmental justice and transdisciplinary learning.
