Claudia Carter

Claudia Carter is a Professor in Environmental Governance and Planning at Birmingham City University. Her research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to climate change, sustainability, and transformative urban planning through social-ecological systems thinking. She has led projects such as Are you game for Climate Action? (UKRI-AHRC funded) and STEAM INC (Erasmus+ funded), emphasizing youth engagement and gamified tools like CLIMANIA. She has contributed to ecosystem services frameworks and participatory planning methodologies, including the development of PARTICIPOLOGY.
