Dr Linda Yueh, CBE, FREcon, is Fellow by Special Election in Economics at St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford, and serves as a Research Lecturer in Economics. Recognised for services to economics, she was appointed CBE in the 2023 King’s New Year Honours List and became a Founding Fellow of the Royal Economic Society in 2025.

Her research explores the dynamics of economic development and growth in the context of a rapidly changing global economy. She investigates how macroeconomic policy, legal frameworks, and international trade interact to influence poverty reduction and sustainable development, with particular attention to sub-Saharan Africa and emerging markets.
Dr Yueh has authored or edited eleven books—including the textbook Macroeconomics—and is Series Editor for the Routledge Series on Economic Growth and Development. She has published extensively in leading economics journals and served as guest editor for World Development and the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics.

In addition to her scholarly work, Dr Yueh advises national and international bodies: she is a member of the UK Soft Power Council, served as an adviser to the UK Board of Trade (2020–2023), and was appointed by HM Treasury to the Independent Review Panel on Ring-fencing and Proprietary Trading (2021–2022). She has supervised postgraduate research in economics and law and teaches both micro- and macroeconomics at undergraduate and graduate levels.
