Linda Townsend, RN, MN, is an Instructor II at the College of Nursing within the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. She serves as a course leader for health and illness theory and as a clinical course leader and senior practicum advisor, playing a key role in shaping nursing education and clinical training at the university.
Her research interests focus on nursing education and student success in clinical settings. Her master's thesis, Success in the Clinical Setting: Nursing Students’ Perspectives, explored the factors that contribute to effective clinical learning, forming the foundation of her teaching philosophy. She emphasizes connecting classroom knowledge with clinical practice and supports individualized student development.
Linda is recognized for her dedication to teaching, having been nominated for the Nursing Students Association's Teaching Excellence Award.
