Her research focuses on prolactin's role in breast cancer development, particularly its crosstalk with estrogen, growth factors, and extracellular matrix dynamics. She investigates mechanisms of hormone-dependent tumor progression and therapeutic resistance using transgenic mouse models.
Publications span endocrinology, cancer biology, and tumor microenvironment studies. Key themes include prolactin-ERα interactions, matrix stiffness effects, and combination therapies for immunologically cold ER+ breast cancers.
She has mentored PhD trainees including Juu-Chin Liu and Fatou Jallow. Her work involves collaborations with radiation oncology and nanoparticle engineering teams.
