Prof. Linda Ross is a Professor of Nursing at the University of South Wales, specializing in spirituality within nursing. She holds roles in the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education and is affiliated with the Health, Care, and Well-Being Research and Innovation Group. Her academic career includes a PhD in Nursing (1992) and a BA Nursing (1986), alongside certifications as a Registered General Nurse and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Research interests focus on spiritual care education, clinical practice, and assessment, with leadership in initiatives like the EPICC Network and the Spirituality and Health Research Center. She serves as Visiting Professor at Staffordshire University and Board Member at Azusa Pacific University. Ross has co-authored major works including Spiritual Assessment in Healthcare: A Resource Guide (2025) and developed the EPICC Spiritual Care Competency Tool.
Her awards include the Faculty Research Fellowship (2017-2020) and Top 100 Women of Spirit Award (2016). She actively engages in international collaborations, recently visiting institutions in Ghana, Australia, and the US. Ross’s work emphasizes holistic care, cultural adaptation of spiritual practices, and education strategies for nursing professionals.
