Linda Radzik is a Professor of Philosophy and Associate Department Head at Texas A&M University, where she holds a faculty position in the Department of Philosophy within the College of Liberal Arts. Her primary research focuses on ethical theory, philosophy of law, and applied ethics, particularly examining moral issues arising from wrongdoing such as forgiveness, criminal punishment, tort law, and collective responsibility. Radzik emphasizes privacy norms' role in accountability practices and investigates third-party roles in enforcing moral norms.
She earned her Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Arizona in 1997. Her scholarly contributions include two major books: *Making Amends: Atonement in Morality, Law, and Politics* (Oxford, 2009) and *The Ethics of Social Punishment: The Enforcement of Morality in Everyday Life* (Cambridge, 2020). These works explore themes of moral repair, social enforcement, and the ethical dimensions of punishment.
Recent research trends reflect her sustained engagement with privacy's impact on accountability, the dynamics of reconciliation, and the public's role in moral discourse. Her work bridges theoretical ethics with practical legal and social contexts, offering frameworks for understanding how societies address wrongdoing.
- Awards: Research Fellow, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation
