Linda M. Symanski is a Full-Time Lecturer II in the Department of Psychology at Kean University's College of Liberal Arts. She holds an M.A. in Behavioral Sciences/Business & Industry Option from Kean University, alongside certifications such as LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), NCC (National Certified Counselor), BCPC (Board Certified Professional Counselor), and DRCC (Disaster Response Crisis Counselor, Retired). With over 25 years of professional experience, she has worked in psychiatric facilities, hospitals, and managerial roles.
Prof. Symanski is the Program Coordinator for the M.A. in Psychology: Human Behavior & Organizational Psychology Option. Her teaching spans courses like Abnormal Psychology, Community Psychology, and Lifespan Developmental Psychology. Her research focuses on implementing psychological approaches to develop DEI protocols in organizations.
Prior to her current role, she served as an Adjunct Professor at Kean for 19 years. She contributed to initiatives like Project Phoenix (WTC Grant) and has expertise in crisis counseling, human resources development, and small group dynamics.
