Dr. Linda Keway is a Visiting Lecturer in Counselor Education at Aquinas College, where she also serves as Co-Curricular Coordinator at the Advantage Center. She has held academic roles since 2013, including teaching in Career Services, Indigenous Studies (Sociology), and First Year Seminar. Previously, she worked as a professional development/human rights and labor consultant for the Michigan Education Association, and held roles as a teacher, counselor, and admissions officer across multiple institutions including Grand Rapids Public Schools and the University of Michigan.
Dr. Keway holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan, M.A. degrees in Guidance and Counseling (Michigan State University) and Special Education (Eastern Michigan University), and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. She currently serves as a Commissioner for Indian Child Welfare for the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, reflecting her commitment to tribal community advocacy.
Her research interests intersect educational leadership, Indigenous education, and special education policy. Beyond academia, she is an accomplished ballroom dancer with national and international awards, embodying her philosophy that 'Life isn’t about surviving the storm, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.'
