Linda J. Peake is a Professor at York University in the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change. She previously served as Director of The City Institute (2013–2023) and is a leading feminist geographer specializing in urbanization, gendered urban insecurities, and marginalized communities in the global south, particularly Guyana. Her work intersects with mental health advocacy, co-chairing the AAG Affinity Group on Mental Health.
Education:

Research Interests: Focuses on feminist and anti-racist geographies, urban placemaking, mental health in academia, and global south urbanization. She co-leads the SSHRC-funded GenUrb project investigating gendered urbanization impacts in six global south cities.
