Linda Burkley is a Lecturer in Communications at Susquehanna University, with additional teaching experience at Slippery Rock University, Butler County Community College, and Messiah College. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at SU since 2008 and as a visiting lecturer since 2012. Prior to academia, Burkley led the Butler County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, hosted local radio/TV programs, and managed the county’s Bicentennial Celebration. She is also a successful entrepreneur in public relations consulting for non-profits.

Her research and teaching focus on Communications, emphasizing public relations, campaign strategy, creative branding, and non-profit communications. She integrates real-world experience into her pedagogy, prioritizing excellent writing, innovative messaging, and practical application of communication theories.

Burkley has over a decade of professional experience in public relations, including roles at a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit and her own consulting firm. She actively engages students with case studies and challenges from her entrepreneurial work, while balancing her career with family life as a mother of twin sons.
