Linda Alise Okstad serves as Deputy Head of the Bachelor of Nursing program at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, based in Troms. She holds academic responsibility for nursing education across UiT's northern campuses, including prior leadership roles as Assistant Head of Department (2016-2023) and Study Program Manager (2024).
Her research centers on Nursing Science in extreme environments, specifically addressing healthcare delivery challenges in sparsely populated Arctic regions. As a core member of the Rural and Remote Nursing and Healthcare research group, she investigates adaptation strategies for medical services in isolated communities, emphasizing culturally responsive care models for northern populations.
