Lincoln L. Davies is a Professor of Law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law, University of Utah. He serves as Co-Director (with Brigham Daniels) of the Wallace Stegner Center for Land, Resources, and the Environment, focusing on environmental and energy law. His academic roles include teaching courses like Administrative Law, Civil Procedure, and Energy Law. Davies holds a J.D. from Stanford University and a B.S. in Natural Resources & Environment from the University of Michigan.
His research spans energy policy, environmental law, and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on renewable energy, climate change, and Western U.S. grid reform. Notable works include analyses of renewable portfolio standards and the legal dynamics of carbon capture technologies. He has contributed to policy discussions through roles like Board Member of the Institute for Western Energy and presentations at CLE events.
