Brigham Daniels is a Professor of Law at the University of Utah’s College of Law and Co-Director of the Wallace Stegner Center for Land, Resources & the Environment. He leads the Great Salt Lake Project, focusing on policy responses to the lake’s ecological decline and the legal risks of inaction. His research spans environmental law history, climate policy, and natural resource governance.

Research Interests: Daniels’ work examines Great Salt Lake conservation, legal frameworks for environmental crises, and historical perspectives on environmental law. His current projects include two co-authored books on environmental law history.
Teaching: Courses include Property Law, Environmental Law, Water Law, and a seminar on the Future of Great Salt Lake. He co-founded the Environmental Policy Accelerator, a clinic addressing policy challenges.
Grants & Awards: NSF grants, UK FCDO funding, and teaching awards. He serves on nonprofit boards and advises public and commercial entities.
