Lin Zhang

Lin Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. His research focuses on smart materials and intelligent electronics for biomedical applications, including

• Piezoelectric sensors/transducers/harvesters
• Biomedical ultrasound
• Wearable electronics
• Flexible/stretchable electronics
• MEMS and wireless communication

He leads the Smart Materials & Intelligent Electronics (SMILE) Laboratory, aiming to develop advanced biomedical technologies through multidisciplinary approaches involving novel materials, device designs, and fabrication strategies. His work emphasizes creating systems for healthcare monitoring and translational applications.
