معرفی
Lin Schwarzkopf is a Distinguished Professor at James Cook University, leading the Department of Zoology and Ecology. Her research focuses on ecoacoustics, vertebrate ecology, and invasive species management. She is renowned for developing innovative methods to monitor biodiversity through sound and for controlling invasive species like cane toads using acoustic traps.
Her work integrates field studies with advanced technologies, addressing conservation challenges in tropical ecosystems. Key achievements include advancing passive acoustic monitoring techniques and exploring the impacts of human activities on wildlife habitats. She has led over 8 major projects and published extensively, with 190+ articles.
Dr. Schwarzkopf’s research also examines predator-prey dynamics, habitat selection, and the effects of environmental changes on species survival. Awards include the Outstanding Achievement in Research (2019) and the Dean’s Award for Best Research Group (2007).
