Lin Guo is an Assistant Professor in Industrial Engineering at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. She holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from Zhongnan University, M.S. in Management Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from University of Oklahoma. Prior to academia, she worked as an Industrial Engineer (2011-2016).
Research focuses on machine learning-based optimization, cyber-physical systems, supply chain management, healthcare queuing, and sustainable product lifecycle design. Aims to enhance algorithmic robustness for complex systems.
Recent publications (2023-2024) address decision-guidance methods, satisficing vs. optimization trade-offs, and multi-goal design algorithms. Work integrates operations research, computational intelligence, and systems engineering.
