Lily Ge is currently a final-year Computer Science PhD candidate at Northwestern University, advised by Matthew Kay. She holds the academic rank of Lecturer at Northwestern and has previously served as a Research Fellow at Tohoku University, Japan.

Her research explores how people interact with visualizations, focusing on improving visualization literacy through assessment tools like AVEC and CALVI, frameworks such as V-FRAMER, and adaptive testing methods. Her work intersects human-computer interaction, information visualization, cognitive psychology, and learning sciences. Publications reflect trends in AI-driven visualization generation, literacy measurement, and critical reasoning about data.
