Lili Wei is a Researcher in Health Economics & Health Technology Assessment at the School of Health and Wellbeing, University of Glasgow. She holds a PhD in Public Health from the same institution, following her undergraduate degree in Preventive Medicine and Master's in Public Health. Her work focuses on statistical modeling for clinical research using healthcare and trial data, including methodological challenges in routine data utilization. She leads a scoping review to develop standardized protocol tools for such analyses and collaborates internationally with teams in China, America, and Canada.
Her research interests encompass frailty assessment in diabetes trials, socioeconomic health disparities, and improving subgroup reporting standards in chronic disease studies. Recent work includes meta-analyses on diabetes treatment efficacy across demographics and transportability of heart failure trial data to real-world registries. She has secured a 2024-2025 grant from the Carnegie Trust for improving trial applicability with limited patient data.
Lili supervises MSc and MPH students (e.g., M Bartley, S Wu) and teaches Real World Data modules. Her work bridges methodological innovation with practical healthcare challenges, emphasizing translational research and global collaboration.
