Lila Alice Reid

Lila Alice Reid is an MFA holder and PAC Instructor at Oregon State University, serving as the Artistic & Social Dance Activity Area Leader within the School of Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences. She teaches at Oregon State University and several community centers, including the University of Oregon, Willamalane Adult Activity Center, and Corvallis Community Center.

Education: B.A. in Dance and Classical Latin from Mount Holyoke College (with a K-12 Dance Teaching License), and M.F.A. in Dance from the University of Oregon. During her graduate studies, she was a Teaching Fellow and taught over 30 undergraduate dance courses.

Research focuses on partnered dancing’s impact on well-being, social dance in communities, idiomatic fusion in performance/pedagogy, collaborative methodologies, and screendance. She runs Coast2Coast Country Dance & DJ, offering classes and events in Country Western line dances and partner styles.
